KEE acquires Prime Mover, a Kenworth T610 130 tonne

As part of KEE Transport’s quest to assist local Australian companies, we have just purchased a 100% Australian designed and built Prime Mover, a Kenworth T610 130 tonne rated vehicle which will enhance our ability to transport large equipment for our ever-growing list of clients.

Look out for this vehicle (pictured above), it will definitely be a one of a kind and the show piece of our fleet.

Major coup for KEE: Matagarup Bridge

The Surfacing team were proud to be awarded the Garden Island project, which utilised many of our Group’s services including profiling, spray seal, asphalt and sweeping.

Subsequently we have also secured our first Local Government contract delivering profiling services to the City of Bayswater for the next three years. The introduction of the new Road Dryer to the fleet has been a resounding success with multiple clients, including Main Roads, impressed with the trials conducted on Toodyay Road for both BMD and WBHO.

Another major coup for us was the completion of the $91.5 million Matagarup Bridge.

WA State Manager for York Civil, Dallas Keane said; “York Civil was pleased to have KEE Group provide a range of services to the Swan Pedestrian Bridge Project, an iconic feature of the Perth skyline. The services included major plant and equipment hire, fuel deliveries, street sweeping and asphalt laying for both roads and shared paths, including profiling. The services provided were executed professionally and diligently, lead by KEE Group respective team leaders. York Civil were pleased to work with KEE Group as they provided a wide range of services and reacted quickly to our requests, including completing the works in accelerated time frames. I would highly recommend their services”

KEE Hire mining news

machinery hire

The latest news out of the mining sector has further underpinned the market confidence going into the new financial year, with BHP green lighting the $4.5b South Flank project and FMG pushing ahead with the $1.7b Eliwana project. KEE Hire is well-positioned to capitalise on the back of this news with the recent delivery of a new Volvo L260H Loader and four new 40t A40 Volvo Dump trucks both with industry leading fuel efficiency, which in turn saves our clients thousands in fuel costs.

Scheduled servicing is crucial

After 250 or 500 hours of operation, your machine will be due a service.

Scheduled servicing is essential to the machine’s overall health, efficiency and performance. If you become aware of a due service get in touch with us straight away for advice. Work out a day/time that suits your project to stand the machine down for a few hours of TLC.

This is also a great time to take care of any wear and tear items such as GET, so make sure to call us on: 08 6401 8500

KEE Group moves to new headquarters in Welshpool

It has been a busy few months at KEE Group with a flurry of tendering activity across the company, on top of the planning and subsequent execution of our big move to our new Headquarters in Welshpool. The new yard will provide much needed space to further support our growth in providing unmatched service offerings for our clients. It was a huge task co-ordinating such a move, but one we are glad to have done to enable our teams to work more efficiently and in turn, pass on savings to our clients.

Here at KEE, we are determined to offer a different model of assistance for our civil and mining clients and we are very excited to announce two major developments in the Group. Firstly, we have purchased a RD-1200XT Road Dryer, the first in operation in WA. The lean, mean, heating machine will considerably speed up surfacing operations for our clients in the wet winter months. Secondly we are expanding our services to include Concrete Slipform capability, with the addition of a new Wirtgen SP25 machine, under the command of our new Operation Manager Chris Holmes.

New Fuel Trucks Added to KEE Fleet

April is an exciting time for KEE Fuel as we are ready to take delivery of another fuel truck, ready for the Tieman tanker. We will also be rearing another Pink Pig, which will be due to hit the streets of the Perth Metro this week.

Along with the new tanker, we are very privileged to acquire the services of one of the petroleum industry’s most experienced and well respected driver trainers Brian “Yogi” Richards (pictured above). KEE Fuel continues to aim to deliver savings across the metropolitan market to our valued clients. If you’d like to be part of the Pink Pig rewards scheme, please call Leigh on: 0428 247668.
