Bundu Contracting is a proudly 100% Aboriginal-owned bulk earthworks contracting company established in 2013 by Ivan Thompson, a Yawuru/Bunuba man whose roots can be traced back to WA’s First Peoples. The company has the largest fleet of Vermeer T1655 machines in Australia. The joint-venture has cemented the KEE Group’s long-held commitment to providing real enterprise opportunities for Indigenous communities across WA.

KEE Bundu Apprenticeships: Paving the Way for Indigenous Talent
The success of KEE Bundu can be seen in the career opportunities it has already provided for young Indigenous individuals. In 2020, KEE Bundu awarded a a three-year traineeship with KEE Fuel to 18 year-old Kazumi Chaplin. With the support of the State Government and other partners of KEE Bundu, Kazumi is on track to become Australia’s first female Indigenous fuel driver.
KEE Bundu Scholarships: Life-Changing Opportunities Through Education
Conceived by the visionary minds of Damon and Clayton Spiers, and Ivan Thompson, The KEE Bundu Scholarship is a testament to the directors joint belief in the life-altering potential of education.
The scholarship, is open to students with indigenous heritage entering Year 7- Year 10. Since 2022, KEE Bundu has provided full tuition and boarding expenses at both the prestigious St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School and Hale School for two lucky students. The partners believe that after the completion of their schooling the pupils will be fully equipped with the essential life skills and opportunities needed for a successful future.
Damon expressed their conviction, stating, “We firmly believe that education is the catalyst for change.”

Driven by sincerity and passion, KEE Bundu upholds ISO accreditation, Supply Nation Certification, and undergoes independent third-party audits to ensure absolute transparency in delivering benefits to the empowered communities it serves. The partnership has already secured substantial contracts exclusively available to Aboriginal businesses, including fuel supply for projects such as the Thornlie-Cockburn Link and Yanchep Rail Extension, integral parts of the METRONET initiative.
